Media hull ... etc. ... etc. ... Progress in Milan in May

Here I am, here I am, I'm alive eh!
Actually many have asked me how to do the work, and I'm glad someone reads my posts, but if you're so interested, then come to help me out! If the weather is bad on the weekends there are a secure) and sometimes in the evening after work ...

This month I have not posted new updates because the site did not proceed, but only for the fact that it was necessary to do a lot of small jobs, not "striking" but necessary. Give two coats of resin on the pieces of dunnage and mate, finally build a decent media for hull, start assembling the connecting beams, laminated finish on the glass fiber fillers ... So many little things to finish before putting new pieces on the boat!

finally a boat that works support

Fortunately, the weather gave me a hand, fall temperatures and snowfall in the mountains around me are certainly not regret being a sanding rather than put your feet to soak in the frozen lake.

Grigna (imbiancata!) and Resegone June 20

Regarding the Tiki finally the pieces of dunnage should all be in order and carefully resin, the next step will be to sew them to the hull and provide for plenty of filling. Now I have a place to keep your groceries: D

the middle panels have the "hole" the finger, the others are fixed
... a little 'dusty ...

As soon as I'll be rid of the floorboards I could fit the pool, then it will seem like a boat!

055xprob Instructions Manfrotto

Returning from the yard a glimpse of Milan in early May:

Canola in bloom in Milan

I could not resist, I'm also putting the fiberglass along the creases of the bulkhead at the bottom it takes little time and the result looks very beautiful to see and "touch".
Then I started working on the floorboard, the Tiki finally starting to have a floor and a sink: D

The first pieces to be fit ...

... and you start with the "hands" of resin

The Difference Between Hot Cheetos

spring

A long period without updates, but not per questo meno denso in quanto ad avanzamento lavori.

Processing for the keel is a little different from the bulkhead because the project is required to "arm" the grout with glass fiber. To be honest I was tempted to use it even on the creases of the bulkheads, to give even more strength and flexibility to the whole, but having already limited time I have saved this refinement ... (also difficult to assess the gain in terms of resistance ").

Per il secondo problema ho finalmente capito che di stucco did not get enough, so I bought "a few pounds," not to remain inert powder dry and prepare more when using a bucket as a container and rugged drive! The container must be hard because as soon as the resin is mixed with the powder and mix it becomes very difficult if the container is not solid break while preparing ... (beginning in preparing the aluminum trays ... bad!)

- Blanket -

exploited a day off I jumped from my dear pusher of marine plywood and, caught at the chance sheets I bought all I needed to the project: 5 sheets of magnificent ocean okoumé RINA approved. But why RINA-approved? costs more and the extent of the paper is unique ... I know, is to import at a lower price and also in the smaller size, but you want some parts I made with the importing and the difference (at least in the view ) is known, and how! The layers of plywood in the importing country are not sharp and continuous as in the RINA and more grain from the wood is different, there are more nodes and greater flexibility ... We may not count for anything, but the price difference does not be so devastating!

I took the paper I started to draw and this time without me with haste to draw and cut without much precision, at least I have reported the plans on Autocad (also to optimize the arrangement of parts) in order to have the exact coordinates of all points. And so in a couple of days of work I have all the pieces of beautiful indoor and ready to be assembled (I cut them with a half inch of surplus, then I will work a maximum of plane!)
